Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy will be effective as of July 18, 2018 for all our registered users.  We care about protecting the personal information of our customers and visitors who use are websites, products or services (collectively, our “users”). This Privacy Policy includes what personal data our websites may be collecting, storing and sharing, as well as who may have access to that data.  By visiting our websites, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not cover how our users may use or share data that they collect using our services.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it?

We collect personal data from users and site visitors during the registration and checkout processes on our store. This may include personal data, such as name, email address, phone number, billing and/or shipping address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase and credit card information; and technical data, such as information about cookies.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products and pages you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Geographic location, IP address and browser type and version: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping and/or billing address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order.

We also collect information you may give us, including personal data, when you call or email us requiring our support or assistance or when you use our products or services.  Personal data is not just created by the user’s interactions with our site. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as account registration, contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, security logs, and third party embeds. Your data is stored and processed in our web hosting, our cloud storage database, analytic systems, certain plugins, and unaffiliated third party service providers.

Account registration and signing up

When you create an account, we will store information you may give us, such as: your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to:

  • Set up your account for our store
  • Respond to your requests
  • Communicating with you
  • Populate the checkout for future orders

When you register or sign up on our website you give active consent to our Privacy Policy.

Contact forms

We use a contact form for customer services only. The personal data is captured when someone submits the contact form. We will store information you may give us, such as: your name, address, company name, industry, email and phone number.

Comments

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site. When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password.

We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics plugin, which is a web analytics tool that helps us understand how users engage with our websites.  This information is use to compile reports and to help us improve our websites. The reports disclose website trends without identifying individual visitors.

Security logs

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

What we share with others?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we do not sell, rent or otherwise provide your information to other parties. We share certain personal information that could include, but may not be limited to, members of our team, analytics, third-party providers, third party embeds, for legal reasons and with your consent.

Members of our team

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both the Administrator and Shop Manager can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and/or shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to send postal mail and email, help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you (provide customer service).

Analytics

Security logs

This site is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities. We do not send personal information; however, personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) could be found during the scan.

Third-party service providers

We share information with third parties who have the need to know in order to help us provide your orders and store services to you. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to the payment gateway, including information required to process or support the payment, such as your name, the purchase total, credit card information and billing information. When delivering our packages, we may share certain personal information that could include, but may not be limited to: name, shipping address and payment information. Payment gateways and delivering services may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

Third-party embeds

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We may disclose certain information about visitors to our services if we have a good faith belief that it’s necessary or authorized under the law or to protect our users, the public, or the rights, property, or safety of our company.

Other that as described above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third-parties, and you will have the opportunity to choose not to share the information.

How long we retain your data?

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it (our legitimate business needs), and we are not legally required to continue to keep it (for compliance with the law). For example:

  • We will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and, billing and shipping addresses.
  • We keep contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for 10 years.
  • If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
  • For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
  • Security logs are retained for 60 days.

What rights you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. How we protect your data?

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission over the internet by using Security Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. While we implement security measures on our sites, you should be aware that 100% security is never possible.  It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access and your computer. You should always use appropriate self-protection measures like signing off when finished using a shared computer and practice safe-browsing on all websites.

Are children allowed to use our services?

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information without such parent or guardian’s consent, he or she should contact us. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our files.

Are we complaint with the EU GDPR?

European data protection law requires data about European residents, which is transferred outside the European Union (EU) to be safeguarded to the same standards as if the data was in Europe. We ensure that this Privacy Policy complies with the European data protection standards. Our unaffiliated third party service providers also meet these standards according to their corporate rules. However, if you are accessing our services from a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA), we are not directly targeting the EU market or providing our services to EU residents. This means, we do not knowingly process (i.e.: gather, store or use) personal data from any “natural person” in the EU. If we become aware that personal information from EU residents has been captured by any means, we will delete such information from our files. You can contact us with any questions, complaints, or to exercise your rights. We will respond to your inquiry promptly.

When was this Privacy Policy last updated?

This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 18, 2018.  We reserved the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change any section of it, we will notify you by email, prior to the change becoming effective. In all cases, your continued use of any of our services constitutes acceptance to any such changes. If you have any concerns about our Privacy Policy, please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it.
